What kinds of books do Xavier Faculty like to read?
Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown. I think every American should read this book.- Mr. Chiafulio
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Márquez and Sophie's Choice by William Styron.- Mr. Vargas
Dostoevsky's Brothers Karamazov because he cites profound truths about human nature that 21st century Western Culture is loathe to acknowledge.-Colonel Campbell.
The Odyssey by Homer. After thousands of years, it is still as entertaining as it was when it was written.-Ms. Trekell
Fear and Trembling by Soren Kierkegaard, because it's the most fun I ever had reading philosophy.- Mr. Lavy
My favorite novel is by C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Lewis is a master story teller, who can captivate both children and adults. The tale that he weaves in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe creates a world with infinite possibilities and opens the imagination. It has been my favorite since I was about 8 years old!- Mr. Powers
